Meet Our Community
In a time when human values are fading, the teachings of the Buddha guide us in nurturing compassion, wisdom, and right attitudes.
Join the Athula Dassana International Buddhist Vihara, where the community is at the heart of all we do.
Heathrow Vihara Nayaka Thera
In 2004, Venerable Wanduramba Kassapa Thero embarked on a special mission to spread the Dharma in England. Over the next seven years, he engaged in national, religious, and social activities across various temples. On 07th July 2011, under his patronage, the Athula Dassana International Buddhist Vihara, also known as the Heathrow Vihara, was established.
Our Dedicated Monks
Our mission is to teach and propagate the Dhamma, fostering the betterment of individuals and communities. By building connections with monks from other Vihara, this Vihara serves as a centre for learning and spiritual growth. Visiting devotees can experience the sacred presence of a revered Buddha image and find solace in the tranquil Vihara room, which promotes peace and reflection.
Our resident monks are pillars of our community, providing guidance, teachings, and blessings
Facilitating The Buddhist Way of Life
