Athula Dassana Buddhist Vihara
In 2004, Venerable Wanduramba Kassapa Thero embarked on a special mission to spread the Dharma in England. Over the next seven years, he engaged in national, religious, and social activities across various temples. On 07th July 2011, under his patronage, the Athula Dassana International Buddhist Vihara, also known as the Heathrow Vihara, was established.

Venerable Wanduramba Kassapa Thero was ordained on 31st October 1992 at the Athuladassana Buddhist Centre in Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07, under the guidance of Most Venerable Borelle Athula Nayaka Thero, Deputy Chief Sanghanayaka of Amarapura Siri Saddhamawansa Chapter, Tripitakacharya Vichitra Bhanaka Saddharma Vagishwara.
After ordination, Venerable Wanduramba Kassapa Thero pursued his studies in the Tripitaka, Pali, and Sanskrit at the Vidyodaya Maha Pirivena, Maligakanda, Colombo 10, up to the Vidyodaya finals. He received higher ordination under the mentorship of the Most Venerable Borella Athula NayakaThero, Deputy Chief Sanghanayaka of Amarapura Siri Saddhamawansa Chapter, and guidance from the late Venerable Thalalle Gnanalankara Nayaka Thero and Venerable Mapalane Shantha Thero, Deputy Incumbent of Jayasekararamaya, Maradana.
The Thero dedicated himself to national, religious, and social activities under the tutelage of his esteemed mentors, gaining valuable experience and knowledge. At the age of 25, Venerable Wanduramba Kassapa Thero served as the co-incumbent of the Sri Sambodhi Viharaya in Dolakanda Village, Dehiatta Kandiya. Through dedicated service to the temple and welfare activities for the local villagers, he earned the respect of the community and his fellow monks.
