I wish you all a wonderful celebration together, and I wish you and your family the best New Year.

I would like to extend my best wishes to all of you at the Athula Dassana Multicultural Buddhist Community Centre and the Athula Dassana International Buddhist Temple as you celebrate the Sinhala and Tamil New Year on 12th April 2025.

I am grateful for the Athula Dassana Multicultural Buddhist Community Centre’s work to support faith and multi-faith activities, education, and culture for the Sri Lankan and Tamil communities in the local area and throughout the wider community. It is also important that cultural celebrations such as the New Year festival bring everyone together across the region and create a strong bond between all our communities.

I would also like to commend the work of the Dhamma School in promoting the education of many young people. It is inspiring to see their prominent role in the New Year celebrations and to see the growth of the Athula Dassana Multicultural Buddhist Community Centre and its contribution to our community life.
